Mobility of people for learning purposes

Mobility of people for learning purposes

Learning is a complex process that develops in different environments, integrating formal, non-formal and informal physical places - for example, school, laboratory, company, sports field, parish - and virtual places.

Pathways structures integrated paths, in some cases 'blended', in the belief that the heterogeneity of the learning spaces endows the skills developed by people of better and more complete dimensions.

Pathways helps to train the European citizen, a person who studies and works in Europe. Therefore, the component of physical mobility is a crucial element for experiencing the Union as a common and familiar place.

Financing channels used

There are various financing channels that allow the physical mobility of people in learning, promoting territorial projects consistent with the needs of the productive fabric and integrated with the training offer already active in schools and accredited agencies, an offer sometimes coordinated by public bodies in charge and by category associations. Pathways contributes to improving the training offer provided, ensuring an international dimension to the qualification and continuing training courses, with projects funded under the Erasmus Plus, i-Portunus and Creative Europe program, the National Operational Programs and the Regional Operational Programs of the European Social Fund, active in the period 2021-2027.

Innerships in European companies

Pathways supports the matching between people (PCTO students, recent high school graduates and adults) who wish to have an internship or internship experience and European companies. It identifies, with the support of a large network of foreign agencies, the most suitable company to develop the skills useful for achieving individual qualification goals. Pathways structures the individual learning path, responding to the main European Recommendations - the European Credit system for Vocational Education and Training ECVET, European Qualification Framework EQF, Europass, Key competences for lifelong learning-, enabling people on the move to see the skills, knowledge and competence, developed, made transparent, so that they are recognizable and usable in the Vocational Education and Training systems and in the world of work.

Education & school in Europe

Pathways is in communication with educational structures and schools of all levels in Spain, Portugal, France, Germany, Ireland and Malta, therefore, integrating their work with the use of platforms for sharing experience and partner research such as e- Twinning, School Education Gateway and EPALE, supports the organization of training periods in the presence and distance of students and adults who wish to carry out a part of their learning path in Europe to enrich the outgoing qualification with an international dimension more adequate to face more challenging career paths.

Staff mobility

In particular, the Erasmus Plus program promotes the mobility of the staff of schools and training structures in general. Teachers, vocational training teachers, experts, school managers, administrators, technicians, up to decision-makers are called to train in Europe to be able to support education and training systems in their irreversible and urgent process of de-provincialization and therefore of internationalization, to improve the quality of the same by responding to the European Framework of Reference for Quality Assurance - EQARF. Pathways supports schools, training agencies and all entities and associations that operate in various capacities in the large learning space, in the organization of courses, laboratories, job shadowing activities dedicated to their staff. Structures their experience in a comprehensive way, taking care of both the logistical aspects and those of detailed programming.
